Bro defied the laws of the story, they are supposed to be super sturdy and only defeatable by pulling their ID out, but the guy just got... special effects all over him, and that's it for him. Very cheap storytelling, very weak.

i bet Eden and Jean found out that the warlike aliens have already reverse engineered a large amount of Code Eve (with the unknowing help of Sylvia) and are going to take Code Eve and make the Neans follow them like slaves with ZERO free will. the Neans will destroy humanity as the armies of the warlike aliens. those aliens will take over the WHOLE Solar system for themselves and keep the Neans as slaves to transform the rest of the Solar system's planets into other homeworlds as well.

whereas the peaceful aliens and humans had always meant the Neans to be openly free willed PARTNERS in the Solar System. the Neans would be given their personal freedoms AFTER Venus was fully transformed into the new homeworld the peaceful aliens purchased from humanity with the currency of higher technology.

So, like, I think, those Usurpers seem bent on, uh, making all the Neans totally powerless, right? The 4 suits are part of what's known as the Minor Arcana. Cups, Swords, Coins and Wands (the modern interpration/design being hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades). Technically if you want to go all in on Tarot stuff you would use both decks to derive meanings, but most media only portrays the more well known Major Arcana (0 being The Fool and then I think The World is 21).

And the Puppetmaster just seemed to know WAY too much about Eva, the Immortal Nine, Code Eve, and Rouge

Playing cards can be used for divination in exactly the same way tarot can be. In fact, playing cards and tarot cards are both descendants of early card decks. The correspondence of suits between tarot cards and playing cards is:

-Hearts = tarot suit of Cups

-Diamonds = tarot suit of Pentacles

-Spades = tarot suit of Swords

-Clubs = tarot suit of Wands

I fucking hate when characters are willing to fight and die for someone else they love. Then when they get beaten and die they suddenly change their mind and tell the person who killed them to stop the person they love and got killed for without anything happening to change their perspective. It's just terrible and lazy writing.
